(Acts 12:4) And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.
That particular scripture doesn’t tell us much about the resurrection, but we can easily understand Easter through other verses in the bible. We need to go back to the old testament and then move forward from there to get a better understanding of Easter. One of the best books in scripture that can help us to prove the truth of Easter is the book of Ezekiel.
Ezekiel the priest described being taken in a vision in (Ezekiel 8:2, 3, 4, 14).
Then I beheld, and lo a likeness as the appearance of fire: from the appearance of his loins even downward, fire; and from his loins even upward, as the appearance of brightness, as the colour of amber.
And he put forth the form of an hand, and took me by a lock of mine head; and the spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem. to the door of the inner gate that looketh toward the north; where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy.
And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the vision that I saw in the plain.
Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD's house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.
Now Tammuz (who was just mentioned in Ezekiel 8:14) was born on December 25th (Christmas day). According to ancient pagan religion, the "sun god" was turned into a tree.
(Jeremiah 10:3, 4) For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.
Also, according to ancient pagan "sun god" religion, Tammuz was said to be the son of Queen Semiramis (Nimrod’s wife). The "story" is that Semiramis was immaculately conceived and came down from the moon in a giant moon egg that fell into the Euphrates River. Now since Semiramis was thought to be immaculately conceived she became known as the fertility queen of the east or Easter. The priests who worshipped the fertility goddess would sacrifice babies to Easter and dip eggs into the blood of the dead babies to color them. This is where the tradition of coloring Easter eggs came from.
(Ezekiel 8:15, 16)Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these. And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD's house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.
Now the reason why so many Christians eat ham as a part of the Easter holiday is because of traditional Christian beliefs but (legend has it) Tammus was killed by a wild boar while out hunting and to honor and revenge tammuz a pig is traditionally killed and eaten. Semiramis was also (by legend) the queen of ancient Babylon, of whom a “mystery religion” was developed that is still being followed today. About 50,000,000 child sacrifices have occurred in the U.S. for the convenience of willful "idolaters" and for "money" by highly paid murderers (abortion doctors).
(Revelation 17:5) And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Christ is alive so wake up or you’ll miss the resurrection of life. There are only 2 resurrections (the resurrection of life and the resurrection of damnation).
The resurrection of life and the resurrection of damnation is also the first resurrection and the second death.
(Revelation 20:6) Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
I tell you the truth. I received the resurrection of life when I died to sin in the “first” resurrection.
(Romans 6:11, 12) Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
(1 John 3:9, 10a) Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil.
Don’t just perish for the hope of a better resurrection!
(Hebrews 11:35) Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection.
Don’t just pay the established church leaders who worship the beast!
(Revelation 13:18) Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
(1 Kings 10:14) Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred threescore and six talents of gold.
Don’t you know that Solomon established the first harlot church?
(1 Corinthians 10:14) Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
Do you not hear the voice of life?
